Notice to
Applicants for Transport, Storage, and Disposal Facility of
Used Oil Permit |
To
obtain a permit to transport, store, and dispose of used oil
within or without the U. S. Virgin Islands submittal of the
following is necessary:
-
EPA identification number for on island transport and
for off island receiver
-
State identification number for off island receiver
-
Business license number (Virgin Islands)
-
Tax assessor number (property where oil will be
stored)
-
Pollution Insurance Policy of no less than $50,000 to
include environmental damage by spill of petroleum products
-
Owner ship documentation of certified Vactruck or
tanker (for oil transport)
-
Documentation linking firm with the receiving firm
that will be receiving your used oil and/ or disposing of it
-
Access to oil spill control material
-
Spill
Prevention Control Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan [(40 Code of Federal
Regulations) CFR part 112 & 279]
Your
application will be considered for review when the above information
is provided to Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR)
Division of Environmental Protection (DEP).
