Virgin Islands Energy
Office
The Virgin Islands Energy Office (VIEO) is
the primary administrator of energy programs in the USVI. Its mission is to
research, select, apply, advocate and champion energy efficiency and
renewable energy throughout the Territory.
VIEO monitors the integration of policies
relating to conservation, use, control, distribution and allocation of
energy, with respect to all energy matters. With major emphasis on the
reduction of energy costs and consumption, VIEO responsibilities include
planning, development, administration and delivery of education and
information outreach activities; implementation of technical and financial
assistance programs; securing and maintaining sound energy resources for the
USVI; and promoting and implementing programs that foster energy efficiency.
